Sarah Nichols

Sarah Nichols is a Tenure Track Assistant Professor at EPFL's School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering (ENAC), affiliated with the Institute of Architecture (IA) and the Theory and History of Architecture and Urbanism group (THEMA). She holds roles in EPFL's Diversity Office at ENAC, teaching responsibilities in SAR (Teaching & PhD) and EDAR (Education and Doctoral Programs), and administrative functions in ENAC-DEC (Departmental Executive Committee) and VPA-AVP-DLE (Vice President for Academic Affairs).

Her research focuses on architectural theory, environmental design, and the intersection of cultural heritage with contemporary urban challenges. She advises doctoral students in architectural studies and contributes to academic governance through her roles in diversity initiatives and educational leadership.
