Sarah Ledoux is a third-year doctoral researcher in the Department of Politics, focusing on the role of social media in citizen engagement and congressional policy responsiveness in Mexico and Brazil. She is also a Research Assistant at the University of Bath, collaborating with Dr. Juan Ferrero on subnational democratic legitimacy in Argentina, and a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Politics and International Relations bachelor's degree. Her work contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals related to governance and equity.
Research Interests: Sarah’s research bridges online political behavior and AI in public policy, with a focus on social media’s influence on policymaking, democratic legitimacy, and cross-cultural comparative politics. Her publications analyze political communication in electoral contexts, such as the 2012 French presidential election and 2024 general election media trends.
Scientific Awards:
- 2022: Recipient of the North West Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership (Studentship), a competitive fellowship supporting her doctoral work.
