Sarah L. Adam is an Assistant Professor and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at Saint Louis University's Doisy College of Health Sciences. She holds a Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Neuroscience from Augustana College.
Her research focuses on enhancing independence for individuals with physical disabilities through community-based exercise and adaptive sports. She has collaborated with Independent Living Centers and adaptive health organizations to develop assessment protocols and exercise programs. With four years of clinical experience, she specializes in inpatient occupational therapy for adults with traumatic brain injury and stroke as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS).
Dr. Adam is affiliated with the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). Her office is located at the Allied Health Building, 3437 Caroline Street, 2020, St. Louis, MO 63104.
