Sarah Krogh Iversen is a Research Fellow at the Department of the Built Environment, part of the Faculty of Engineering and Science at Aalborg University. Her research focuses on directional analysis of waves, wave energy systems, and experimental testing of coastal engineering solutions. She is affiliated with the Ocean and Coastal Engineering Research Group and the BLUE – Marine & Maritime Research initiative.
Her academic projects include the Directional Analysis of Nonlinear, Short-Crested Waves in Physical Models (2022–2025) and the EXOWAVE project (2022–2024), which explores wave energy converters and power production optimization. She has published extensively on topics like the NL-SORS method for wave separation and directional spectrum estimation techniques.
Professional activities include participation in major conferences such as the European Wave and Tidal Energy Conference (2023) and CoastLab24 (2024), where she presented work on directional spectrum estimation and physical modelling. Her work bridges theoretical analysis with practical applications in marine renewable energy and coastal engineering.
Labs/Teams: Active in the Ocean and Coastal Engineering Research Group and the EXOWAVE collaborative team focused on oscillating wave surge converters.
