Dr. Sarah Kerr is Lecturer in Radical Humanities and Archaeology at University College Cork. A buildings archaeologist specializing in medieval Europe, she investigates how built environments shaped social norms and were shaped by them. Current research examines Irish tower houses, round towers, and British lodging ranges.
Her work explores climate change impacts on built heritage in Ireland, Scotland, and Denmark, addressing heritage's role in climate communication and community resilience. Previously held posts at KU Leuven, Trinity College Dublin, University of Sheffield, and Aarhus University.
