Sarah Jasim

Sarah Jasim is a Research Fellow in Social Care at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), based within the Care Policy and Evaluation Centre (CPEC). She supports CPEC’s partnership in the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration North Thames as a member of the ARC-NT’s Research Partnership Team and serves as a Policy Fellow for the London Research and Policy Partnership (LRaPP), embedded within the Strategy Team of the City Intelligence Unit at the Greater London Authority.

Her research centers on social care, health care, and evaluation, with specialized focus on implementation science, structural inequalities, and inclusive community engagement methodologies. She employs advanced mixed methods including statistical analysis, realist evaluation, participatory action research, and co-design frameworks to ensure accessible research practices that actively involve users, carers, and diverse communities in healthcare decision-making processes.

Her recent publications (2021-2023) demonstrate consistent focus on orthopaedic care pathways within the UK NHS, particularly evaluating the "Getting it Right First Time" programme through mixed-methods approaches. These studies examine systemic barriers in elective joint surgery, patient pathway navigation challenges, and implementation effectiveness, revealing critical insights about accessibility gaps and opportunities for patient-centered service redesign.

She maintains active collaboration with the Care Policy and Evaluation Centre at LSE, NIHR Applied Research Collaboration North Thames, and Greater London Authority through her dual research-policy fellowship roles, bridging academic evaluation with municipal strategy development.
