Dr. Sarah-Jane Potts is a Lecturer in Engineering Sustainability at Swansea University's Department of Mechanical Engineering. She holds a Chartered Engineer status (IMechE) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her research focuses on printed electronics, photovoltaic manufacturing, and sustainable renewable energy solutions with a circular economy approach. She previously served as a Technology Transfer Fellow at SPECIFIC IKC, advancing printed perovskite solar cell technology.
Education: Engineering Doctorate (EngD) in 'Advanced Manufacture by Screen Printing' (2020), MEng in Product Design Engineering (2015), both from Swansea University.
Professional roles include President of the South Wales Materials Association and Regional Education Officer for IMechE South Wales. She is an award-winning STEM Ambassador with over a decade of outreach experience, engaging thousands of young people in STEM.
Her recent research emphasizes optimizing ink rheology for screen-printed carbon pastes, improving perovskite solar cell performance via infiltration studies, and developing green solvents for sustainable manufacturing processes. Key collaborations include SPECIFIC IKC and industry partnerships.
