Dr. Sarah Jackson is a Principal Research Fellow in the Department of Behavioural Science and Health at University College London (UCL). She leads the UCL Alcohol and Tobacco Research Group, focusing on population-level analysis of smoking, vaping, and alcohol consumption patterns. Her research evaluates cessation interventions using large-scale datasets like the Smoking and Alcohol Toolkit Study.
Education includes a doctorate from UCL (2014), MSc from Roehampton University (2010), and BSc from University of Sussex (2009). She holds professional certifications as a Chartered Psychologist and HEA Fellow.
Research interests center on:
- Longitudinal trends in substance use behaviors
- Effectiveness of public health policies and cessation aids
- Socioeconomic determinants of smoking/vaping disparities
