معرفی
Dr. Sarah Hirthe is a Postdoctoral Researcher and European Commission Fellow at the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO), working within the Ultracold Quantum Gases research group. She holds a PhD in Physics from the Max-Planck Institute of Quantum Optics (Germany). Her research focuses on quantum simulation using ultracold atoms, particularly exploring Fermi-Hubbard models, cold-atom systems, and many-body physics phenomena such as supersolidity and quantum phase transitions. She employs advanced techniques like quantum gas microscopy to study correlated electron systems and topological phases.
Her work bridges fundamental quantum physics with experimental realizations in ultracold gases, contributing to our understanding of complex quantum systems. Notable contributions include studies on spin-orbit coupling in Bose-Einstein condensates, magnetic interactions in fermionic ladders, and time-resolved observations of spin-charge dynamics. She has also developed novel laser setups for Rydberg atom excitation.
Her research interests span across quantum simulation, condensed matter physics, and cold atom systems. She collaborates actively in the field of quantum technologies, leveraging experimental platforms to address open questions in many-body physics and topological systems.
