Sarah George serves as an Associate Professor of Practice at Purdue University's School of Construction Management Technology within the Polytechnic Institute. With 25 years of architectural design expertise, she teaches building information modeling (BIM), sustainable site development, interior design, and design-construction integration studios, emphasizing practical skills and human-centered solutions for aspiring designers and builders.
Her research focuses on critical areas of modern construction and design:
- Advanced Building Information Modeling workflows
- Construction visualization and technical illustration
- Green building design principles
- Sustainability frameworks and LEED certification
- Advancing women and minorities in technology fields
- User-centered architectural design methodologies
Dr. George received the 2025 Faculty and Staff Award for excellence across Purdue Polytechnic. She actively engages students through capstone projects like the municipal park redesign initiative, where teams apply construction management principles to real-world community spaces while developing practical professional skills.
