Sarah Gardner

Sarah Gardner is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Nottingham Trent University (NTU), serving as associate course leader for Psychology with Criminology and Psychology with Sociology. Her teaching spans undergraduate and postgraduate levels, focusing on research methodology, statistics, and developmental psychology. She previously worked with statistical consultancy firm 'Figure it Out,' providing training in advanced statistical tools like Mplus and SPSS.

Her research interests include children’s experiences of school-based bullying, coping strategies for peer victimization, friendship networks, cyberpsychology, and structural equation modeling. She has explored topics such as comparative optimism in online identity theft, public perceptions of AI in defense, and factors influencing learning in early education.

Dr. Gardner is a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society and the Society for Research in Child Development. Her recognition includes being an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her work bridges methodological innovation with applied research in developmental and social psychology.
