Sarah Franklin is a Senior Lecturer in Publishing at the School of Arts, Oxford Brookes University. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses with a focus on Marketing/PR/Consumer Insight and Fiction and Non-Fiction writing and publishing.
- Modules taught: Publishing Principles, Sales and Marketing for Publishing, Fiction and Non-Fiction Sales and Marketing (including distance learning)
- Research interests: Consumer literature in multi-platform contexts, promotional techniques, and technology-enhanced learning for diverse student cohorts
- Published two novels: Shelter (2017) and How to Belong (2020)
Sarah's research integrates her practice as a novelist, exploring intersections between creative writing and publishing industry dynamics. Her work emphasizes contemporary fiction, children's/YA literature, and digital-age marketing strategies.

As a member of the Oxford International Centre for Publishing (OICP) and the Print Culture Research Unit (PCRU), Sarah contributes to publishing consultancy and has participated in nationwide promotional events for her debut novel. She supervises research in fiction/non-fiction and marketing/PR domains.
