Sarah Esteves is a Researcher at Yale University's Yale School of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine. She serves as a Research Assistant for the ACTION study, focusing on research involving substance use and HIV/AIDS. She holds a B.S. in Counseling (December 2016) and an M.A. in Human Services Counseling with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy (August 2018). Her work experience includes roles in mental health crisis prevention and intervention. Sarah is deeply committed to community-oriented work, aiming to support individuals facing substance use disorders and HIV/AIDS by addressing barriers to better health outcomes.
Her research interests integrate community health equity, mental health support systems, and evidence-based interventions for vulnerable populations. She actively contributes to the ACTION study, which enrolls patients to advance understanding and treatment strategies in these critical areas. Sarah was recognized as part of the May 2022 cohort of new faculty/staff/postdocs welcomed at Yale School of Medicine.
