Sarah Collins is an Adjunct Professor affiliated with Mitchell Hamline University and its School of Law. She is a tribal attorney with extensive experience serving Paiute Shoshone clients across Nevada and has taught for over a decade, including volunteering for the University of Arizona’s Master and Legal Studies program. Her work intersects legal practice and academia through teaching and advocacy.
Research Interests: Sarah specializes in tribal jurisdiction, tribal courts, and the interplay between tribal, state, and federal legal systems. Her practice areas include civil law, criminal law, estate law, and tribal business matters, with a focus on VAWA’s special domestic violence criminal jurisdiction, ICWA compliance, and natural resources/mining laws.

- Battle Born Racial Justice Fellowship
Notable Contributions: She led the Civil Gideon Project for Nevada Legal Services, conducting research and data analysis on systemic racism in Nevada civil courts, culminating in a seminar for legal scholars. Her externship involved revising covenants and bylaws for a land management company.
