Sarah Clark, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of English and Fellow in Catholic Studies at the University of Mary’s School of Arts & Sciences. Her academic journey includes an MA (2012) and PhD (2019) from Baylor University, where her master’s thesis focused on Irish literature and her dissertation explored the intersection of beauty and faith in works by Evelyn Waugh, Graham Greene, Muriel Spark, and Rumer Godden.
Clark teaches courses such as Intro to Narrative, Young Adult Literature, World Literature II, British Literature II, and special topics like Jane Austen, British Female Novelists, and The Gothic Novel. She emphasizes integrating Catholic perspectives into literary analysis, a priority supported by the University of Mary’s academic ethos.
Her research interests center on faith’s influence on literary themes, particularly in 20th-century British literature. Awards include her appointment as a Fellow in Catholic Studies.
