Sarah Carol is an Assistant Professor in Sociology at University College Dublin's School of Sociology, specializing in migration studies and interethnic relations. Her research examines social integration mechanisms, religious rights, and quantitative analysis of intermarriage attitudes across European contexts. She coordinates modules in Quantitative Research Methods and Sociology of Education, supervising graduate work on gender dynamics in immigrant communities.
Her publications demonstrate sustained focus on immigrant integration challenges, with recent work examining pandemic impacts on intergroup relations and health literacy disparities. Research employs innovative methodologies including survey experiments and longitudinal analysis across multiple European countries.
Awarded the 2018 Distinguished Sociology of Religion Article Prize, she has secured grants from the EU Framework Programme and German research foundations. Current projects investigate vaccine nationalism and educational impacts on gender attitudes among minority youth.
