Sarah Bassisseh is a Research Associate and Junior Lecturer at the University of Tübingen's Institute of Political Science, affiliated with the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. Her research focuses on state-society dynamics in digital dictatorships, political repression, and political participation in authoritarian regimes. She holds a BA and MA in English Language and Literature from Al-Baath University (Syria, 2015/2020) and an MA in International Relations from Eötvös Loránd University (Hungary, 2022) with honors. She was awarded the Best Thesis Award for her MA work.
