Sarah Ascienzo is an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at North Carolina State University. She holds a PhD in Social Work from the University of Kentucky, an MSW from Colorado State University, and a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Women and Gender Studies from James Madison University.
Her research focuses on mitigating adverse health consequences of trauma exposure, including secondary traumatic stress among helping professionals and behavioral health workforce development.
