Sarah Adel Bargal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Georgetown University. Her research focuses on computer vision and machine learning, particularly in the areas of explainable AI and neural-backed decision trees.
Education: She holds a PhD in Computer Science from Boston University (2018), an MSc in Computer Science from The American University in Cairo, and a BSc in Computer Science from Kuwait University.
Research interests include developing transparent AI systems and creating methods for neural network interpretability. Her work bridges theoretical computer science with practical applications in visual recognition systems.
Her publications demonstrate a consistent focus on computer vision applications in healthcare, education, and security. Recent trends show increasing work on generative models, medical imaging, and educational technology applications.
