Sarada Krishnan

Sarada Krishnan is an Associate Professor in Accounting at the University of Sussex Business School's Department of Accounting and Finance. She holds a PhD in Accounting from Manchester Business School and an MSc in Financial Management from Middlesex University. Her research employs qualitative methodologies to explore transnational governance in accounting, focusing on regulatory negotiations between global and local entities, ESG reporting frameworks, and sustainable development initiatives.

Key research areas include the diffusion of international accounting standards, regulatory power dynamics between state and professional bodies, and project management in public-private partnerships. Her current work examines sustainable financing practices in Indian agribusiness plantations targeting SDG 5 Gender Equality, supported by £2000 funding from SEEDS Impact NGO.

Teaching responsibilities include convening modules like Sustainability Accounting and Reporting (Postgraduate) and Integrated Reporting (Undergraduate).
