معرفی
Dr. Sara Sánchez-Alonso is a Researcher at the Child Study Center within the Yale School of Medicine. She specializes in language neurodevelopment and multi-modal imaging techniques like fMRI and fNIRS. Her work focuses on understanding neural mechanisms underlying early language acquisition and developing biomarkers for neurodevelopmental disorders.
Education & Training:
- PhD in Psychology & Neurobiology from Yale University (2018)
- Postdoctoral training at Haskins Laboratories (2021)
- Post-baccalaureate research at Max Planck Institute (2011)
- MSc in Speech-Language Pathology from Potsdam University (2010)
Research Focus: Investigates neural bases of language development using integrated fMRI/fNIRS methods. Aims to identify early biomarkers for disorders like autism and improve diagnostic paradigms through cross-age comparisons.
Awards:
- NARSAD Young Investigator Award (2021)
- Postdoctoral Merit Award (2022)
Labs: Collaborates with the Aslin/Chawarska Labs and contributes to Yale's Language, Learning & Multisensory Brain Lab (LLAMB Lab).
