Sara Ramos Zamora is a Professor in the Department of Educational Studies at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, affiliated with the Faculty of Education and the Institute of Feminist Research. She specializes in the history of education, gender studies, and inclusive museum practices. Her work focuses on educational policies during the Francoist era, the role of museums in fostering inclusion (particularly for individuals with autism and cognitive disabilities), and feminist historiography in education. She co-leads the research group CEGI, analyzing historical and comparative educational frameworks with a gender lens.
Her doctoral thesis (2004) examined the purging of primary school teachers in Castilla-La Mancha (1936–1945), supervised by Dr. Julio Ruiz Berrio. She collaborates actively with the Manuel Bartolomé Cossío Museum/Laboratory of Educational History, integrating it into innovative teaching projects like b-learning courses applying Freinet pedagogy. This initiative emphasizes participatory education methods and digital integration in teacher training.
Her research bridges historical analysis with contemporary educational challenges, advocating for gender equality and inclusive practices through museum-based educational interventions. She has published extensively on topics ranging from Francoist-era educational representations to the legacy of women in pedagogical movements.
