Sara Penrhyn Jones is a Senior Lecturer in Media at Bath Spa University's School of Creative Industries. A multiple-award-winning documentary filmmaker, her work focuses on environmental communication, social justice, and gender equity. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism (Cardiff University) and a B.A. in English Literature (Aberystwyth University).
Her research explores participatory approaches to documenting environmental and social change, with a focus on marginalized communities and indigenous perspectives. Projects include collaborations in Kiribati, India, and the Marshall Islands. Recent outputs include the award-winning film Timeline and the Troubled Waters series, which address climate change and cultural resilience.
