Sara Monks

Sara Monks is a Full Professor at Politecnico di Torino, affiliated with the Interuniversity Department of Territorial Sciences, Projects and Policies (DIST). Her research focuses on digital methods, disinformation, polarization, inclusive storytelling, and social media analysis. She leads projects on online extremism and platform governance, contributing to initiatives like the EU Knowledge Hub on Radicalization Prevention. Monks chairs doctoral programs in Urban and Regional Development and teaches courses on digital strategies, social media, and future storytelling across multiple engineering and communication programs.
