Sara Masoud is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Wayne State University, specializing in mixed reality, machine learning, and dynamic data-driven systems. Her research spans agro-industry, transportation, healthcare, and smart manufacturing.

Her publications examine spatiotemporal modeling, human-robot collaboration, and healthcare analytics. Awards include the 2025 Excellence in Teaching Award and multiple IISE Best Paper recognitions (2019-2021). She leads the Smart Immersive Modeling Laboratory.
