Sara Lundell is an Associate Professor in physiotherapy at the Department of Community Medicine and Rehabilitation, Umeå University. Her research focuses on how stigma-related emotions like shame and guilt affect self-management in people with COPD and the development of eHealth tools to support these patients and healthcare professionals.
Her educational background includes a master's degree in physiotherapy (2012) and a 2018 dissertation on COPD care implementation. She has led projects such as the ECHO-COPD initiative (2021-2024) and the current Countering Stigma in COPD Self-Management project (2024-2026).
Research themes include:
