Sara Kärrholm is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer in Publishing Studies at the Department of Arts and Cultural Sciences, Lund University, within the Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology. She has held the position of Associate Professor in literary studies since 2013 and is actively engaged in both teaching and research at Lund University.
Her research focuses on the intersection of literature and society, with particular emphasis on popular literary genres including Nordic noir/crime fiction, children's literature, bestsellers, and comics. Dr. Kärrholm investigates issues of literary value, gender dynamics in literature, the marketing of literary works, and consumer culture within the publishing industry. She approaches these topics through an interdisciplinary lens that combines literary studies, cultural studies, and publishing studies.
