Sara Konradt

Sara Konradt serves as an Assistant and Doctoral Student in the Department of Systematic Theology / Dogmatics at the Faculty of Theology, University of Basel since August 2024. Previously, she worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Systematic Theology, Friedrich Schiller University Jena from July 2023 to July 2024.

Her academic background includes:

• Completion of the First Theological Examination (Evangelical Church in Baden) and Mag. Theol. in December 2022
• Studies in Protestant Theology at Heidelberg, Princeton and Zurich (2016-2022)

Konradt's research centers on Paul Tillich's Theology, Soteriology, and Ecumenism. Since April 2023, she has been developing her dissertation titled "New Being as Soteriological Reality – Paul Tillich's Soteriological Conception and the Question of the Redemption of Nature," which examines Tillich's theological framework regarding salvation and its implications for nature.

She actively participates in scholarly communities as a member of both the German Paul Tillich Society and the American Academy of Religion, reflecting her engagement with international theological discourse.

Her professional activities demonstrate emerging expertise in systematic theology with particular focus on 20th century Protestant thought and soteriological questions.
