Sara Ilveskorpi is a doctoral researcher at Aalto University's School of Arts, Design and Architecture, Department of Art and Media. She is a visual artist, art educator, and organic farmer practicing site-specific art on Nytorp Farm in Southwest Finland. Her work integrates ecological symbiosis with themes of permanence, temporality, and flexibility, emphasizing self-sufficiency as a lived experience.

Her research examines self-sufficiency through ontological and philosophical lenses, exploring its role in ecological reconstruction and mental resilience during crises. She contributes to UN SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 13 (Climate Action) via art education and environmental aesthetics.
Ilveskorpi's artistic outputs focus on ecological materials and site-specific installations, with exhibitions like Lumen akustiikka (The Acoustics of Snow) and Harjun ja veden välissä (Between Ridge and Water). Her work bridges artistic practice with environmental activism.
