Her academic career focuses on intersectional research at the nexus of violence in close relationships, migration studies, and welfare system responses to vulnerable populations.
Her research explores transformations in support systems for abused women through ethnographic studies of women's shelters and municipal units. She coordinates the Kompetensplattform för samverkan, fostering collaboration between education, practice development, and research in social work.
Her publications span journal articles, book chapters, and conference papers, with recent works addressing honor-based violence in educational contexts, refugee integration, and cross-cultural counseling frameworks. Key methodological approaches include qualitative research and ethnographic design.
Halmstad University's School of Health and Welfare provides institutional context for her academic work, which bridges theoretical social work with practical interventions in Sweden's welfare system.
