Sara Condo

Sara Condo is an interdisciplinary artist and academic holding concurrent positions as Adjunct Assistant Professor at University of Illinois at Chicago's Department of Art and Art History, Lecturer at School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and Lecturer at Harold Washington College. She earned her MFA from UIC (2016) and BFA from SAIC (2009), with additional coursework at Stanford University's Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics.

Her research examines gender, technology, and historical narratives through experimental media practices. Core interests include:

• Digital and analog photography techniques
• New media installations and interactive software
• Interdisciplinary approaches to personal/cultural narratives
• Audio-visual performance systems

She has received significant recognition including:

• Chicago DCASE Individual Artist Grant (2023)
• Multiple SAIC Faculty Enrichment Grants (2024-2025)

Her artistic practice centers on studio-based creation with international exhibitions at venues like Roots and Culture Contemporary Art Center, Rare Air Exhibitions (NY), and international festivals. She has held residencies at Ox-Bow, ACRE, and WZFR while developing experimental film and installation projects.
