Sara Baugh is an Assistant Professor of Communication Studies at Davidson College. Her research and teaching focus on decolonial feminist theory, particularly examining how diasporic Latina/o/x communities engage in resistive world-building through rhetorical memory performances.

Baugh's work intersects race, gender, class, sexuality, and colonial power structures, both in the Global South and the U.S. She draws on personal and familial experiences—especially those of Chicana and Mexican women—to explore storytelling as a resistive survival strategy.
In 2020, her dissertation was nationally recognized with two awards from the National Communication Association, highlighting her contributions to critical/cultural studies. She also serves as the Lambda Pi Eta honor society advisor at Davidson College, emphasizing her commitment to demystifying academic systems for students from marginalized backgrounds.
