Sara Aucoin

Sara Aucoin, PT, DPT is an Adjunct Assistant Professor and Team Lead for Health and Quantitative Studies Prerequisites at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She lectures in Anatomy & Physiology 1 & 2 and practices clinically at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network's Framingham Outpatient Center.

• Education: BS in Kinesiology: Exercise Science from the University of New Hampshire; DPT from Washington University in St. Louis, School of Medicine

Dr. Aucoin specializes in treating orthopedic and neurological conditions, with recent interests in young athletes and individuals diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome or hypermobility syndromes. Her research background includes studying physical therapy interventions in the Emergency Department.

She has presented at major conferences, including the APTA Northeast Regional Annual Conference (2021) and APTA Combined Sections Meeting (2021), focusing on hypermobile patient management and youth overhead athlete performance.
