Santosh Kumar

Santosh Kumar is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Stevens Institute of Technology, affiliated with the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science. His research focuses on Nonlinear Optics and Quantum Optics, with notable contributions to single-pixel imaging, photon-counting techniques, and optical computing. He holds a PhD in Physics (Quantum Optics) from Jawaharlal Nehru University (2014).

Dr. Kumar has held a Visiting Scholar position at CNRS Laboratoire Aime Cotton, Université Paris Sud 11, France. His work includes pioneering studies on compressive imaging via single-photon counting and noise-resilient optical sensing. He has contributed to advancements in quantum emulation systems and spatiotemporal quantum parametric mode sorters.

Key achievements include patents on super Ising emulators and efficient frequency doubling systems. His research bridges theoretical quantum optics with experimental applications in photonics and optical computing, emphasizing robust imaging and computational techniques.
