Sanket Thakore

Sanket Thakore, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. He serves as Director of the Robotic Bronchoscopy Program, leading advancements in minimally invasive lung diagnostics and treatments. His clinical expertise includes interventional pulmonology, lung cancer management, and robotic bronchoscopy.

Dr. Thakore completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Texas Tech University (2016), followed by a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at Tulane University (2019) and an Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital (2020). He is fluent in English, Gujarati, and Hindi.

His research focuses on robotic bronchoscopy innovations, lung cancer ablation techniques, and minimally invasive airway interventions. He actively contributes to professional organizations such as the American Thoracic Society and the World Association for Bronchology.

Dr. Thakore’s clinical interests encompass lung cancer diagnosis, pleural procedures, and advanced bronchoscopic therapies. He has been featured in media outlets like the Wall Street Journal and Hartford Courant for his work in robotic bronchoscopy and lung disease management.
