Sanket Jantre

Sanket Jantre is a Research Staff member in the Applied Mathematics Department under the Computational Science Initiative at Brookhaven National Laboratory since January 2025. He previously held positions as Research Staff 2 (May–Dec 2024) and the Amalie Emmy Noether Postdoctoral Fellowship (2022–2024) at the same institution.

• Education: Ph.D. in Statistics (Michigan State University, 2022), M.S. in Economics (IIT Kanpur, 2017), B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (IIT Kanpur, 2017).

His research focuses on Bayesian machine learning, uncertainty quantification, and hybrid physical-data driven modeling. He develops methods like Markov Chain Monte Carlo, variational inference, and sparsity techniques, with applications spanning climate science, materials science, and life sciences.
