Sanjida Islam

Sanjida Islam is a Lecturer in Mathematics at Northeastern University London, affiliated with the CoMENS Faculty. She joined the university in August 2023. Her research focuses on special polynomials linked to Painlevé equations, particularly the generalised Okamoto polynomials and 4-Okamoto polynomials, with applications in plasma physics and quantum gravity.

Education: Sanjida completed her PhD at the University of Kent, where her thesis explored 'Special Polynomials associated with rational solutions of Painlevé equations.'

Teaching: She leads the course LMATH4138 Differential Equations & Linear Algebra and teaches LMATH4277 Calculus I for Science & Engineering and LMATH4201 Calculus for Business.
