Sanja Konjik is a Full Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Informatics, Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad. She holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Vienna (2008) and has held visiting positions at institutions including the University of Donja Gorica (Montenegro) and the University of Ghent (Belgium). Her research focuses on fractional calculus, wave propagation in viscoelastic media, variational principles with fractional derivatives, and control theory. She leads the Applied Analysis Group and serves on the Department Board and Faculty Ethics Commission.
Education includes BSc (1999), MSc (2003), and PhD (2008) in Mathematics from Novi Sad and Vienna universities. Her work bridges pure and applied mathematics, with over 50 publications in journals like Fract. Calc. Appl. Anal. and Z. Angew. Math. Phys.. She organizes international conferences such as GF2018 (Generalized Functions) and contributes to mathematical modeling in engineering and physics.
Teaching responsibilities include courses in Analysis, Differential Geometry, and Sampling Theory. Her PhD advisees include Jelena Stojanov (2015) and Maja Jolić (in progress), focusing on anisotropic frameworks and nonlinear control with fractional derivatives.
