Sanghamitra Roy is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Utah State University. She holds a PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2008), an MS from Northwestern University (2003), and a BS from Jadavpur University (2001).
Her research specializes in VLSI design automation, near-threshold computing systems, hardware security, and energy-efficient architectures. She leads investigations into low-power tensor processing units, hardware acceleration of AI algorithms, and secure computing architectures.
Professor Roy has received numerous awards including the NSF CAREER Award (2013) and Outstanding Researcher of the Year (2013, 2020). She mentors multiple graduate students in hardware design and computer architecture research.
