معرفی
Jun.-Prof. Dr. Sangeun Lee leads a research group focused on developing smart polymeric nanomedicines for drug delivery and gene therapy. Her work exploits disease-specific microenvironments (elevated temperature, reactive oxygen species, pH changes) to create stimuli-responsive materials that control drug release and enable diagnostic functions through dynamic covalent bonds and supramolecular assemblies.
Research Themes
- Stimuli-responsive nanocarriers for cancer/inflammatory diseases
- Biodynamers using dynamic covalent chemistry
- ROS/pH-activated degradation mechanisms
- Bioinspired polymer architectures
- siRNA/mRNA delivery systems
- Diagnostic-therapeutic dual-action materials
Scientific Impact
Lee's publications span polymer chemistry, nanomedicine design, and biomedical applications, with recent work on BODIPY-based tracking of intracellular polymer degradation and arginine-chitosan biodynamers for RNA delivery. Her group actively develops innovative solutions for overcoming biological barriers in drug administration.
