Sang-Duck Seo is a Professor in the Department of Fine Arts at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), where he has been teaching since 2006. His expertise spans graphic design, product design, and transportation design, informed by professional experience at Samsung, GM Korea, and KOMSCO (Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation). He received multiple teaching awards, including the Lincy Professorship (2012), UNLV Foundation Distinguished Teaching Award (2014), and the Alex G. and Faye Spanos Distinguished Teaching Award (2017).
His research integrates design theory and methodology with practical applications in typography, symbology, security printing, advertising, and UX/UI design. Seo has presented internationally in over 15 countries and led critical projects like the 2007 Korean Banknote Design. He holds a Ph.D. and MFA in Graphic Design from Iowa State University and a BFA in Industrial Design from Daegu University.
