Sandrine Kott is a Professor of European Contemporary History at the University of Geneva since 2004. Previously, she served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Poitiers (1992–2004) and was a Junior Fellow at the Institut universitaire de France (1997–2002).

- Studies at University of Bielefeld (FRG) and Columbia University (New York)
Research Interests:
- History of social welfare and labor law in France and Germany (1880–1930)
- Social history of the German Democratic Republic and Eastern European communist states
- Transnational and global dimensions of social policies, utilizing archives from international organizations like the International Labor Organization (ILO)
Scientific Awards:
- Juvenile Fellow, Institut universitaire de France (1997–2002)
Publications: She has authored over 80 articles and book chapters, edited 4 volumes, and published 6 monographs, including L’État social allemand (1995) and La société de RDA (2011). Her work emphasizes transnational and global approaches to social history.
