Sandra Reineke is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the University Honors Program at the University of Idaho. She holds a Ph.D. from Indiana University (2004) and a B.A. equivalent from Freie Universität Berlin. Her research focuses on political philosophy, democratic theory, international relations, and bioethics, with specializations in European politics, gender studies, and Simone de Beauvoir scholarship.
Her publications critically examine gender politics, biotechnology policy, and feminist theory in France. She teaches courses like International Politics, European Politics, Politics/Policy and Gender, and Honors Thesis. Recognized for scholarly excellence, she has received multiple awards including the President’s Mid-Career Faculty Award and NEH funding.
