Sandra Digruber is a Lecturer in German Studies at Smith College, a university in the United States. Originally from Germany, she earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in English, French, and educational studies from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU), Germany, followed by a master's degree in German studies from Florida State University (FSU). In 2019, she completed her doctorate in German with a specialization in second language studies at Georgetown University, where she also taught German foreign language classes at the undergraduate level. At Smith, Digruber teaches German language courses at the introductory, intermediate, and 300-level topics courses.
Research interests: Sandra Digruber's research focuses on the analysis of classroom discourse and systemic functional linguistics as an analytical framework. She is also deeply engaged in pedagogical practices and curriculum design, integrating her interdisciplinary expertise into her teaching methodologies.
