Sandra Cunha

Sandra Cunha is an Assistant Professor in the Engineering Department at the School of Science and Technologies, University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. She holds a PhD in Civil Engineering Sciences (2011) from the same institution, focusing on Energy Efficiency of Buildings. Since 2012, she has been a senior researcher at the Centre of Materials and Building Technologies (C-MADE, UBI/UTAD). Her research emphasizes energy efficiency, sustainable construction practices, investment evaluation, and the integration of machine learning in these fields. She led the research project ENERWAT (PTDC/AAG-REC/4700/2014), addressing strategies to reduce urban and rural domestic water and energy consumption through modeling and characterization.
