Sander Mücher

Sander Mücher is a Researcher at the Department of Earth Observation and Environmental Informatics at Wageningen University & Research. His work focuses on advanced remote sensing techniques applied to precision agriculture, environmental monitoring, and coastal ecosystems. He leads multiple projects including Coastal Ecosystems management and spatial analysis of land use changes in Uganda. His research integrates unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), LiDAR technology, and machine learning for applications such as soil erosion modeling, livestock monitoring, and habitat classification. Mücher has contributed to over 216 research outputs and datasets, including the EU-funded OBSGESSION project and habitat mapping initiatives for Saba Bank. He actively collaborates on interdisciplinary projects involving environmental policy, coral reef management, and sustainable land use practices.
