Sander M. Bohte

Prof. Sander M. Bohte holds a part-time appointment as a Professor of Computational Neuroscience at the Swammerdam Institute for Life Sciences (SILS), University of Amsterdam, and is a researcher at the CWI Machine Learning group. His research focuses on computational models of neural information processing, emphasizing spiking neural networks, predictive coding, and reinforcement learning. He bridges computational neuroscience and machine learning, exploring how biological insights can improve neural network designs and vice versa.

Key collaborations include work with Cyriel Pennartz (UvA), Pieter Roelfsema (NIN), and Steven Scholte (B&C).
