Sandeep Mertia is Assistant Professor of Science and Technology Studies at Stevens Institute of Technology. His research examines media technologies, computing infrastructures, and digital futures in India.
Research Focus: Historical and anthropological studies of technology start-ups, rural internet infrastructure, smart cities, and data-driven governance in the Global South.
- Publications: Edited 'Lives of Data: Essays on Computational Cultures from India' (2020) and authored articles on socio-technical imaginaries and digital literacy
Funding: Supported by NSF and NYU Urban Doctoral Fellowship.
