Sandeep Krishna Agarwal, M.D., Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, specializing in Immunology, Allergy & Rheumatology at Baylor College of Medicine. His lab investigates molecular mechanisms driving fibrosis, including cadherin-11 and STAT3, and collaborates on lupus cohort studies to translate findings into clinical care.

Administrative and Collaborative Efforts: Leads rheumatology training programs and collaborates with Dr. Sebastian Bruera to study lupus in diverse populations. His research aims to identify therapeutic targets for fibrotic and autoimmune diseases.

Clinical Expertise: Specializes in diagnosing and managing autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, vasculitis, and polymyalgia rheumatica, with a focus on fibrotic complications in internal organs.
