Dr. Sanaz Rahimi Moosavi is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at California State University Dominguez Hills, specializing in IoT security and blockchain applications. She holds a PhD in Information and Communication Technology from the University of Turku, Finland, and previously served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC Irvine.
Her research focuses on lightweight security solutions for IoT systems, with applications in healthcare technology, cryptographic key management, and privacy-preserving AI systems. Current projects include NSF-funded work on physiological biometric deidentification and privacy-preserving tutoring systems.
Dr. Moosavi mentors numerous graduate and undergraduate researchers, with students working on projects spanning blockchain healthcare systems, network intrusion detection, and privacy-preserving machine learning. She has received multiple awards including Nokia Foundation Research Excellence grants and NSF collaborative research funding.
